Constant over the years
In Crete there is an unbreakable bond between the olive trees and the place, its people and traditions. The olive tree and the fruit were always a source of life for the locals, as well as inspiration. The cultivation of olives comes from the depths of centuries and passed from generation to generation almost unchanged, with huge respect to this unique gift of nature.
Harvesting the fruit is a family affair for everyone on the island. From early autumn until the first months of the new year large and small workgroups are formed from the morning until the sun sets collecting this precious commodity. The coexistence of different generations (children, parents, grandparents) and the contact with the land create a live tradition transplanted from generation to generation.
